Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TailOS handles and protects information when you browse the website, sign in, download the desktop app, browse the Skill Store, use AI features, or submit feedback or diagnostic information.
Effective Date: April 28, 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to the TailOS website, account sign-in, user center, Skill Store, desktop download entry points, and directly related services such as feedback, diagnostics, release notes, and documentation.
TailOS no longer supports user-configured third-party models or user-provided third-party model API keys. If you use messaging channels, external services, or dedicated model capabilities separately agreed under an enterprise contract, data handling by those services is also governed by their own privacy terms.
2. Information We May Collect
- Basic access logs, device information, browser information, and page interaction records generated when you visit the website, for security and operational analysis.
- Account and authentication information, such as your email address, sign-in state, basic profile information returned by third-party sign-in providers, session records, and necessary security audit information.
- Information you actively submit, such as download requests, feedback, diagnostic reports, support messages, business inquiries, and contact details you provide.
- Messaging channels, skills directories, working directories, and similar local configuration you choose inside the product; these are generally stored on your own device or environment.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide website access, account sign-in, the user center, the Skill Store, desktop downloads, release notes, and related support.
- To improve product experience by analyzing common issues, understanding feature usage, and refining website content.
- To keep the service secure, including identifying abnormal access, troubleshooting issues, preventing abuse, and retaining necessary audit records.
4. Storage and Security
We retain relevant information only for the shortest period necessary to provide the service and delete or anonymize it when the retention purpose has been met.
TailOS emphasizes local persistence, isolated configuration, and least-privilege execution. Even so, no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security, and you remain responsible for safeguarding your own accounts, devices, and keys.
5. Sharing and Third-party Services
We do not sell your personal information to third parties without your explicit authorization.
When you actively use third-party sign-in, messaging channels, analytics services, payment services, download distribution services, or dedicated model capabilities separately agreed under an enterprise contract, relevant data may be transmitted to those providers to the extent necessary.
6. Your Rights
- Subject to applicable law and product capabilities, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of the information you submitted to us.
- For configurations and session data stored on your own device, you can usually manage and remove them directly in the product or your local environment.
- If you no longer accept this policy, you may stop using the website or related services.
7. Minors
TailOS is intended for users and teams with the capacity to use the service lawfully. If you are a minor, please review and use the service under the guidance of a guardian.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when product features, data handling methods, or applicable requirements change, and we will publish the latest version on the website. Material changes will be highlighted in a reasonable way.
